Wij hadden ook Wesley als gids bij ons bezoek aan Auschwitz, hij weet heel goed waar hij over spreekt en deelt het ook met hart en ziel en af en toe een filosofische noot :-) Wij hebben bij de groep aangesloten aan het museum zelf, ook dat was heel goed geregeld, we konden met het busje mee naar Birkenau. Het geregelde lunchpakket was ook heel goed samengesteld en voldoende. Kortom een aanrader!

Clear Dutch explanations, both via website and during the tour. Guide Wesley of Dutchpoint Krakow explains much, clearly and passionately about Auschwitz/the war. All previous info was received on time and questions answered via email. We would like to slow down the physical pace to look at everything a bit more calmly, but it is so mega busy with groups there that probably can't be. Think about sturdy footwear! We did not arrive by bus but by private transport and were at the agreed meeting point at 6.45 am. Then go straight to the (free) toilet because from 7 am it will be crazy there with all those buses arriving. Tip for those who give a tour; wear something that is easily recognizable from a distance. Groups are sometimes mixed up, so one quickly finds the guidance, should one fall a little behind. With Dutchpoint you go to Auschwitz 1 and 2 and then to 'monowitz'/auschwitz 3. We could go between 1 and 2 in their bus so our car did not have to go to 2. Saved parking costs. We then took the free shuttle bus back to 1 and then met the group again 15 minutes from there at 3. (We by car, she by bus) That last auschwitz 3 part is very short and not in a camp but in a park near residential area.

In eerste instantie dacht ik dat ik al best wat wist over Auschwitz, maar na deze rondleiding weet ik nog zoveel meer. Het was echt de moeite waard. Als ik het ook met andere mensen vergelijk, die met andere tours zijn meegegaan, krijg ik heel sterk het gevoel dat de tour van Dutchpoint Krakow veel completer was. Ik zou zeker nog een keer meegaan met Dutchpoint. De communicatie was duidelijk en werd meerdere keren met je gedeeld, via mail en live. Met vragen kon je ook op elk moment bij iemand te recht. Over Wesley, je merkt aan alles dat hij hier zoveel kennis over heeft. De vragen die hij soms tussendoor stelt laten je echt nadenken. De persoonlijke verhalen van verschillende slachtoffers raken je. Kortom, met een top gids als Wesley kan ik je een zeer interessante tour garanderen. Dank Dutchpoint Krakow en Wesley!

Op het afgesproken rijdstip waren we bij Dutchpoint en stond onze gids, Wesley, al te wachten. Door de grote hitte stelde hij voor om in plasts van te lopen, met de electrische fiets te gaan. We hebben bijna 4 uur rond gereden en veek v an Krakau gezien. Wat weet deze man veel te vertellen. Geweldige gesprekken gehad. Onze gids op deze excursie was de Nederlands sprekende Wesley. Wij waren diep onder de indruk van hetgeen wij hebben gezien en gehoord onder leiding van Wesley. Hij wist hier ontzettend veel van en wist dit op een hele vlotte en respectvolle manier te vertellen. Ook op onze vragen wist hij adequaat te reageren. Een indrukwekkende en aangrijpende ervaring die uitstekend was georganiseerd. Onze Nederlandse gids Wesley bracht het verhaal op een respectvolle, duidelijke en betrokken manier. Zijn kennis van de geschiedenis was indrukwekkend en hij wist de juiste balans te vinden tussen feitelijke informatie en persoonlijke verhalen, waardoor het bezoek nog meer impact kreeg. Alles verliep soepel, van vervoer tot begeleiding. Een excursie die ik iedereen kan aanbevelen die Krakau bezoekt. Dank aan Wesley en DutchPoint voor deze bijzondere ervaring.
SVEN V13 Juni 2026Dikke tien Onder begeleiding van onze Braziliaanse / Nederlandae gids Joan (Johan in het Nederlands) hebben wij meer achtergrond over het Nazi regime en de Joodse bevolking in en rondom Krakau gekregen. Wij dachten als mannen op middelbare leeftijd hier het meeste wel te over weten. Echter heeft Johan ons een dieper inzicht gegeven over wat er allemaal heeft gespeeld rondom het Hitler regime. Er zijn wat ogen open gegaan en kwartjes gevallen. Mogen dit de mensheid nooit weer overkomen. Bedankt Johan voor de wijze lessen. Ik raad iedereen aan deze excursie in combinatie met een bezoek aan Auswitzh-Birkenau te boeken. Krijg je een andere kijk op de geschiedenis en huidige gang van zaken in de wereld.

Alles was erg goed geregeld en Wesley kon veel vertellen en relevante informatie geven, allemaal op een fijne en prettige manier ondanks de gruwelijkheden die daar hebben plaatsgevonden. Erg blij dat we voor een Nederlandse gids hebben gekozen en niet voor een Engelstalige gids (dus van een Poolse gids die gebrekkig Engels spreekt). Het is vroeg opstaan maar absoluut de moeite waard, ik kan deze aanbieder absoluut aanraden.

Het volgen van zijn verhaal is dan ook geen probleem. Fietstour zelf was ook goed te doen en je komt langs alle punten die je in Krakow zou moeten zien.

Vooral handig omdat je een groot deel van de tour met een koptelefoon op loopt zodat je niet altijd dichtbij hoeft te staan. Tijdens onze familietrip aan Krakau via Dutchpoint 2 excursies geboekt. De dagexcursie met Marijke naar Auschwitz en Birkenau. Enorm indrukwekkend en Marijke weet heel veel te vertellen. Echt een enorme aanrader om dit op deze manier te doen. Je hoort veel meer dan wanneer je dit zelfstandig zou doen en het vervoer was ook supergoed geregeld. Daarna de fietsexcursie met Johan. Ook die was goed georganiseerd en de stad is geweldig met de fiets te verkennen. Helaas sloeg hij, zonder aankondiging, een deel van de route over . We zijn niet in de joodse ghetto en bij de Schindlerfabriek geweest, ontzettend jammer want dit was nu net het gedeelte waar wij het meest nieuwsgierig naar waren.

Indrukwekkende, mooie en eerlijke verhalen en doordat het redelijk rustig was, meer gezien dan anders het geval zou zijn. Laat je niet afschrikken door het vroege tijdstip (05:30 vertrekken) want via DutchPoint is het dat meer dan waard.

TRTTHEREALTONY19 Februari 2026Zeer goed en kundig met een persoonlijk tintje Door een fout van onze kant helaas tickets bij Auschwitz rechtstreeks geboekt voor de verkeerde datum. Contact gezocht met Dutchpoint of we nog mee konden op hun Nederlandse tour in diezelfde week. Dat kon! Met eigen vervoer naar Auschwitz 1 gereden waar we Wesley van Dutchpoint troffen met de rest van de groep. Tour was goed geregeld, audiokastjes en toegangstickets verliep soepel. Duidelijk dat Wesley dit vaker doet en de mensen van Auschwitz kent. Uitleg was zeer goed en Wesley weet duidelijk waar hij het over heeft. Ondanks dat hij dit overduidelijk vaak doet merk je dat niet aan zijn manier van vertellen en uitleggen, en dat bedoel ik absoluut positief! Vanuit Auschwitz zelf liep er nog een vriendelijke Pool met ons mee die geen Nederlands, Duits of Engels sprak, die liet ons binnen in extra locaties zoals de Nederlandse tentoonstelling in Auschwitz 1 en een gerestaureerde barak en gaarkeuken barak in Auschwitz II Birkenau. Al met al een hele goede maar heftige tour! Op de dag zelf vond ik het opzich meevallen bij wat ik verwacht had maar in de week erna heb ik er echt wel wakker van gelegen. Begonnen bij Monowitz, toen naar Auschwitz en afsluitend naar Birkenau. Heel erg blij dat we dit gedaan hebben. Dit zeer indrukwekkende verhaal in je eigen taal te horen is toch echt aan te raden. Roland is een fijne gids die met humor en respect deze gebeurtenissen weet over te brengen. Geen 'standaard' verhaal met feitelijkheden maar het werd zo gebracht dat het heel dichtbij kwam. Diep geraakt! Dit zou verplicht moeten zijn voor elke middelbare school. Echt een aanrader!

MBEERBAUM16 Juli 2025An impressive tour through a gruesome history. It was an impressive tour with Wesley as our guide. He has shown us around the three camps of which Auschwitz I and II are the most impressive.It was a tough tour physically and mentally, but we also came especially for this. The tour is a total of 6 hours long and then travel from Krakow so you are on your way from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm. Wesley has told us so many details and has absolutely great knowledge of all the historical facts. You're just hanging by his lips. He is a true pro with heart for what he does and tells. Especially at the end, he tells us that we must never forget this horrific history and pass it on to future generations who no longer have a direct link with family who can still tell these stories. Many thanks for this experience Wesley! You're doing a really nice job.

Through earpieces the guide could explain everything calmly and everyone could understand everything well. There was plenty of time, no rush. We left the departure location on time even though there were still a number of guests not. So make sure you get there on time (05:40 in our case).

During the bus trip, which took place in the pouring rain, we were still explained the other things. CORINE T17 Mei 2025De dagtocht naar Auschwitz was goed georganiseerd, de probleempjes die er waren werden door de gids vlot opgelost, en vormden voor ons dus geen probleem. In het kamp wist ze veel te vertellen, en ze vertelde zowel historisch feitelijk als kleine verhalen met een persoonlijke touch. Marijke had een zeer aangename manier van vertellen, en een fijne manier om het tempo erin te houden zonder dat het haastig werd. Erg blij dat deze tour 6 uur uittrekt voor het bezoek aan beide kampen, ik kan me niet voorstellen dat je deze informatie in 3.5 uur (standaard tour) tot je moet nemen. Ook de Schindler's List tour via Dutchpoint gevolgd. Hoewel er van kamp Plaszow niets meer over is, wist de gids toch duidelijk te maken hoe het kamp ooit in het landschap was gesitueerd. Roland maakte de verschillen tussen de film en de werkelijkheid duidelijk. Een fijne mix van historische feiten en filmfeiten. Ook deden we enkele herkenbare plaatsen uit de film aan, waarbij hij vertelde in welke scene ze voor kwamen. Ik zal de film nooit meet op dezelfde manier bekijken.

STANS DE JONG4 Mei 2025Via dutchpoint hebben we de zoutmijnen geboekt en zijn we naar auswitch gegaan met een gids. Zoutmijnen was goed geregeld alleen de Zoutmijnen zelf waren wat minder omdat je in een hele grote groep zat en alles snel ging zodat er meer toeristen naar binnen konden. De gids die vanuit dutchpoint ons de tour gaf over auswitch was een enorme aanrader!! Heel duidelijk, rustig en relaxed. Hij vertelde alles vanuit interesse en had veel respect voor de locatie.
